Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen (28th and 9th Ave)

Founded in 1982, Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen is the largest soup kitchen in New York and the second largest nationally. Providing over 1,000 meals and an array of social services every weekday, the soup kitchen has affectionately been called the cornerstone of the Chelsea community.
(Fun Fact: the soup kitchen is rumored to have been a stop on the Underground railroad.)

Hamptons Marketplace (13th and 1st Ave)

This lovely, locally owned East Village shop was Hearty Start's very first community partner. Famous for its breakfast sandwiches and the kindness of its employees, this quintessential New York deli was a perfect fit to join our network of caring local businesses. We're proud to have partnered with Hamptons Marketplace to help those in need.
(Fun Fact: Maybe the best Philly Cheese Steak in NYC).

Le Basket (Broadway and Great Jones)

This corner nook in NoHo is family owned and operated by a caring crew of employees. Quick to learn your face and your "usual", Le Basket has developed a cult following among those who appreciate a fresh sandwich at a great price. This neighborhood staple was even written-up in the New York Times!
(Fun Fact: Great spot for a low key summer happy hour).

Sheen Brothers (10th and Avenue B)

If you're passing through Tompkins Square Park, be sure to pop into Sheen Brother's deli. Located in the Heart of Alphabet City, this locally owned deli is a great spot to grab a sandwich or stock up on groceries.

(Fun Fact: They have a great craft beer selection in the back).

Halal Deli (28th and 2nd Ave)

Halal Deli is tucked among a street full of convenience stores in Murray Hill East. Don't be confused by it's unassuming storefront, Halal Deli makes one solid breakfast sandwich. They're quick, kind, and they put quality first. Halal Deli helps us to service the Bellevue Park area.

(Fun Fact: Two stores down is Basal Deli, another great spot owned by the same great guy).
